The Edmonton Oilers were able to dominate a third period and pull off the unthinkable last night with a shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils. A lot of positives can be taken from last night victory.
The 2013-2014 N.H.L. is only one sleep away and the Edmonton Oilers roster is full of question marks yet again. There are new players, coaches and management but is it enough to think the Oilers can turn the corner and make the playoffs for the first time since real estate prices decided to fluctuate faster than Oprah’s dress size?
I am from the school of thought that this year will be better. I just don’t know how much better, but the good news is that there is plenty to hear about on the radio from fans and media alike. The biggest playoff challenge for the Oilers is going to be their division. Are they ready to compete with Vancouver? Are they ready to beat Anaheim? Can they manage a split with LA?
